Cisco Certified Networking Associate
The CCNA certifications is the first step of the Cisco certifications. Becoming a CCNA can be the initial step of a successful journey towards a very high carrier in networking. The ccna program was created to provide a deep introduction to the Cisco internet-working operating system (IOS) and the Cisco hardware.
The skills require for a CCNA-
To meet the CCNA certification skill level must be understand the following-
1.Install,configure and operate simple routed LAN, WAN and VLAN(Virtual LAN).
2.Understand and be able to configure IP, IGRP,EIGRP,OSPF, serial interface, frame relay,VLANs and access lists.
3.Optimize WAN that reduce bandwidth and WAN costs , using features such as Bandwidth on demand (BOD) , access lists, dial on demand routing(DDR).
Format of CCNA EXAM-
For the CCNA exam when you get to the testing center and check in, the proctor will give you some general instructions and then take you into a quite room with a PC.When you are at the PC you have a few things to do before the timer starts on your exams. Anyone who user-level skills in getting around a PC will have no problem with the testing environment.
When you start the exam, you will be asked a series of question . You answer the question and then move on to the next question. The exam engine does not let you go back and change your answer. The exam question can be the following format-
Multiple Choices
Fill-in-the-blank
Drag-and-drop
Simulated lab
The multiple choice format simply requires that you point and click on a circle beside the correct answer. If more than one answer is required the questions traditionally have told you how many answer to choose. Fill-in-the-blank question require that type in the answer, so you must get the answer exactly correct.
Drag and drop question require you to left click and hold move a button or icon to another area, and release the clicker to place the object somewhere else typically into the list. So for some question correct you might need to put a list of five things into the proper order.
And now the question that gives most people a scare before the exam is the simulated lab question. The exam engine actually gives you an interface into a network with several routers and you must login and troubleshoot a scenario. And to solve the problem you need to configure something that has been misconfigured Don’t forger to save the configurations, unless the question tells you not to save it just in case.
