Study tips for CCNA

Passing CCNA proves your ability to fix and install the much famous switched and routed network. This may be a good chance you to go forward in your career of the IT field. There are two types of exams. One is, writing a single exam 640-802 or else writing two exams namely 640-822 and 640-816, which are ICND1 and ICND2 respectively. Whatever the way you choose the topics will be the same. The difficulty level will be the same. A proper CCNA training will provide you the much-needed confidence to face the exam. Even though you are good in the topics, take your CCNA training seriously, so that you will be able to clear the exam very easily.

1. The CISCO website provides more details about the exam. It also gives the details about the topics covered in the exam. You become an associate level, if you pass CCNA exam. CCSP, CCNP, and CCFP are the professional level exams. CCIE and EEDE are the expert level exams. Passing an associate level exam is the first step you take towards the much-coveted expert level.

2. You need to register (free registration) with CISCO to get access regarding the exam. Mostly these information are given free of cost.

3. Attending the classes of ICND1 part1 and ICND2 part 2 may provide you the required study material, which you may not be familiar. You will get a chance to clear your doubts. These classes should be the core part of your CCNA training program.

4. Take part in a practice exam. List out the topics, which you need help. Identify the possible sources of getting help.

5. You need to decide about whether you are going to write the single examination or to write the two examinations separately. Depending on your study habits, you can decide about this. Fees structure is same for both the cases. According to your selection, you can tailor your CCNA training to make best out of it.

6. Make a study timetable. Plan your study to fit into the timetable. Predict the time you need for your preparation and accordingly register for the CCNA exam. A deadline will put you on the track to excel. With sufficient time and practice, you can get through the exam with ease.

7. Review the relevant topics which you need to prepare. Check the CCNA study materials or training modules to take notes. You can prepare flash cards also. Getting along with your friend for your preparation will also work. Volunteer yourself to help in networking job going on in your neighbourhood to get a practical knowledge. Remember that CCNA training needs some discipline and commitment from you, which is of course the best investment you can make to get a bright future.
